Tried one of these clips. This worked well to keep water out while swimming on your back. I have previously purchased the Speedo wire nose clips but they were loose enough to let some air out and loose enough to let water in. With Speedos I choked on leaking water. The difference between nose clips is that their contact surfaces are already in contact. The pads on the Speedo clips were a new inch apart. If you want them to be snug, take them or something similar so that the contact surfaces touch. If you want them to be free, take clamps with spaced contact pads. Plastic may be better than steel wire, which didn't last long with my fitting. I don't know if they slipped, but I wiped the oil off my nose as best I could before using it. I put two of these on a tight elastic band around my water bottle in case one breaks. I haven't broken any, but I expect to survive them easily.
