Basic noise cancellation but could be better!

I took them on a road trip recently - I drove 1900 miles across the plains and mountains from the Midwest to California so I had plenty of time to try them out. Then I flew home on a plane, so I also used them when flying a very noisy Airbus plane. Overall I found them to be pretty good with noise cancellation and sound quality, but not as good as the more expensive brands I've also tried. The end of the spectrum wasn't boosted as much as I would normally like. My musical tastes vary widely, from club music to Broadway musicals, ballads and instrumental, so I feel listening through these headphones was a really good test of all the lessons. She! After a while the soft sidewalls really started to irritate my ears and I think the opening and padding should be a bit bigger so there is less pressure. Another point is that the headphones paired easily with my phone and I used Spotify playlists the whole time. Flight mode. Battery life seemed reasonable and it didn't take long to fully charge. The buttons are difficult to operate blindly, but I find that to be true of most headphones I use. I didn't take calls while I was listening, but I did have an audible alarm alerting me so I could pause and use my phone instead. Bluetooth. I'm old enough to still appreciate it. The noise cancellation wasn't as good as I had hoped but it cut through the noise on the plane so I didn't have to hear some of the announcements which are usually distorted and unintelligible with their sound systems! I would have liked to be able to adjust the sound quality to boost the bass, but I couldn't tell any difference when trying to use "Basic Boost". The paper guide piece that comes with the set is pretty minimal, but luckily the set is intuitive. There's no carrying case or pouch, which would be nice, especially if you're traveling with them, as the adjustable headgear doesn't stretch out enough to wear the device around your neck without choking yourself.
