This valve works great and is perfect for what I need. I love that it has built in 1/4" pipe quick disconnects. I used this valve along with a small float switch and a 12v power supply to auto fill my 42 gallon tank. It works great. 1/4" plastic tubing from my reverse osmosis filter in the basement and connected to this valve. My filter has a 3 gallon dispenser tank so there is always pressurized water which I also use for my water and ice dispenser fridge. I love how this valve works for my super cheap homemade aquarium refill system. The nice thing is that every day or two I can pump 2 gallons of water out of the tank in about 2 minutes and it will automatically fill to the correct level without even adding water to the tank. I no longer have to change the 20% weekly 8 gallon change and it's less stressful on the fish. In addition, especially with our pellet stove in the room, water evaporates quickly from the tank in dry winter air, so that I no longer have to top up a liter a day with my automatic lid.
