I bought this to make a number of similar jigs with different angles, some of them thin. My protractor just didn't do it for me. What a great help, this is an excellent tool. Also great for checking or adjusting angles on saw blades as well as bevels, joints etc. I find it durable. With legs measuring 3/64" thick, 1+3/8" wide and 7" long. The markings from 0 to 5 inches are engraved quite deeply. Angles are in 1/10 degrees from 0.0 to 359, 9 degrees read The indicated angle stays on for more than 4 minutes which is the only downside I found when assembling these rather complex jigs but that may be my fault The battery compartment is easy to access and opens.
