This works all right for my needs as I just wanted to use it to display some little figurines. This is not however a very sturdy or durable item.Although it looks like real wood it's actually more of a thin flimsy foam material. It's very light and definitely won't last very long or hold up if it's constantly being moved or pushed around. Obviously for its purposes that's not something that should be happening a lot anyway but I feel like if it accidentally got bumped into it would crumble and fall apart.It is esthetically pleasing and as I've said it does look like real wood and has a very pretty finish but just by touching it you can tell that it's not very good quality material.I will probably still use it but I will continue my search for somy search for a similar item that is actually made of wood or another solid material so I don't have to worry about it breaking or replacing itDepending on what you're using it for this might not be a horrible value but for me personally I feel like the price is a little steep I would much rather have gotten a particle board is a particle board shelf than this
