That's where I come from. I've been using Finish Quantum Max for YEARS. This was probably the best dishwashing liquid I've found. Whenever I needed a new dishwashing liquid, instead of buying what was on sale, I bought Finish Quantum. Of course I was a fan of the 'new' version and believed that they could improve upon the finished excellent laundry detergent. But, alas, this is a complete failure of the product. I use a modern, better and more efficient dishwasher of a brand that many know and know. This new product doesn't dissolve properly and if you just look at the plastic coating you can see why. The tablets are usually coated with plastic, which of course does not dissolve, instead of the membrane-like material used up to now. The smell is downright terrible too - I don't mind the "clean" smell, but this thing smells downright awful. Most importantly, they don't behave like dishwashing liquid as they don't dissolve which means they fail completely and get 1 star. We will literally throw the remaining 76 or so of these pills in the trash and never buy them again. Unfortunately, I usually buy dishwashing liquid long before I really need it, so I missed Revain's return window. I actually wonder if I should really take them to a pollutant dump, they smell so bad. Update 2019: Finish contacted me and although they couldn't solve the problems they were kind enough to send me a bottle. Jet Dry (which I also use) that was nice. This made me really understand what is wrong, some people seem happy and of course the product can work. Issues addressed. The first problem concerns the temperature. When using this product, it is important to heat the water to 130-140 degrees. If you're like me and most people, your water tank is set to the more economical setting of 125. Luckily my washing machine has a preheat function and this detergent will not work properly without this setting. The problem is that this slightly increases the cycle time and energy consumption, since the old Quantum Max didn't need it. The second problem, which required a ridiculous amount of failed test loads to solve, was that the detergent pouch's plastic lip often caught on the automatic soap release door when opened during a cycle. This new formula has a gel-like component that Finish has used two bonded plastic membranes to hold it in place, creating an overhang of about 1/16 inch. The bag often didn't make it into the machine until the agitation and water eventually knocked it out after some time in the wash process. I have also found that on my machine there is only one way that the new design pack fits into the soap dispenser without getting stuck on the unlocking door. I was able to wash the last one in particular reliably with this detergent. I almost contend that the wash is superior to all the excellent previous formulas. However, any improvements can also be attributed to the increased temperatures caused by the preheating. cycles however. I have very high water and energy bills, I'm a bit upset that I've cost almost $40 in failed washes to figure out why the product isn't working. I'm glad I got to the bottom of the problem. but I'm only interested in the product because it only worked for me with considerable additional effort and time. As for the smell. Even after months of airing out the bag, it still smells awful. I can't put lipstick on that pig. Update June 2019: I now have a second sachet of 82 units and the new sachet smells MUCH better. Now it smells like "cleanliness". It's clear that Finish is using some form of chemical black magic to mask the Level 3 Hazmat scorched earth mixture they invented in this product. Verification is important because it can help others solve their problems.
