I ordered this gate after my 10 lb Sheltie destroyed my folding wooden gate. I've had 50 pound dogs that never destroyed it, but this little girl doesn't like being cooped up anywhere. She was rescued by a breeder and spent 9 years of her life in a cage. She has accidents on our carpet at night or when we are away we keep the dogs locked up in the kitchen with beds and water for the night. I don't want to put her in another cage. I saw that this gate was getting good reviews and I wanted the metal gate to be a color other than white. It is also available in black and bronze. Bought bronze. Very dark. It's almost black, but not as severe. I watched an assembly video. I just looked at the instructions that came with the kit. I was expecting something not to fit right or as always something to go wrong. Building and installing this gate was the easiest thing I've ever built and installed in my life, which is saying something because I'm old as the earth. I have it in minutes! The video on the Revain website is perfect. If you follow the video you shouldn't have any problems. My door is only 30 inches wide so I didn't need an extension. The gate is strong and secure, and my little sheltie is upset that she can't break it. These goals seemed a bit more stylish to me. The only issue I have with it is that the stripe that runs along the bottom is dark and hard to see on my carpet so I put some light colored stickers on it so I don't trip over it.
