Review on Tw7C03100 Weekender Stripe Nylon Watch by Timex by Brian Thao

Revainrating 2 out of 5

NARROW Band - A 20mm wide band is actually only 19mm wide! Thin and thin strap! Not worth €12!

Actually it should only cost 5€! The $16 BRONGER Twill Slip-thru Nylon Watchband is a much better quality single-pass strap with sleek hardware, the correct 20mm width, and the standard 1.2mm NATO thickness. This band is only 1.0mm thick (maybe even less) and its laser-sealed edges are so poorly finished that they wear easily with use. The worst problem is that the 20mm band is actually only 19mm wide! All of this means that the watch case doesn't hold much friction against the bracelet and the watch can easily slip off and fall to the ground when the bracelet is held by the clasp! This doesn't usually happen with higher quality single pass tape, at least 1.2mm thick and the correct 20mm width. It is NOT a tight, hard weave and the belt will stretch slightly when pulled. This and its thinness make the strap very flimsy and twist easily. It's so flimsy that a standard dive watch will easily sag at the strap unless the strap is wrapped tightly around the wrist like a tourniquet. a bit rough. While the foldable metal loops are a bit high given the thin strap, they don't constantly stick out and don't interfere with folding. Those are the only reasons I didn't give it a 1 star rating.

Pros
  • Not cheap, but decent
Cons
