Great braces! Climbing

I bought another cheaper pair first that weren't big enough. I decided to keep them for a friend and try it myself instead. They are perfect for my size 12 hunting boots (400g insulation) when fully removed. They are definitely a step ahead of the cheaper ones. The adjustment is quick and easy, no need to loosen the screw and worry about losing it like others. The buckles and strap are also better, although the strap can be a bit more difficult to unbuckle. They are available in 2 different spike lengths. I have a shorter length. Even the shorter length is much longer than the spikes on other cheaper crampons. Also, there are more spikes and they are much more aggressively shaped and much sharper. I thought the rivets might be too big, but they ended up being the right size for what I'm doing. I could even use the longer version and you'd be fine. I've traveled with them through snow, ice, and mixed terrain on various trails and mountains in NH, VT, and Northwest Massachusetts to about 3000 feet, and they've worked great, held up great, and stayed sharp through climbing and walking. on sidewalk sections when I couldn't park near the start of the trail. Just be careful not to touch the spikes on the adjacent legs or they'll rip the pants. Also note that they are a bit heavy on the feet.
