Someone else warned us but this doesn't work for the two cords I need to connect as the cords are protected. I modified this connector to connect cables: 1. Sawed out a passage in 2 fittings for the connector to pass through.2. Added ring to threads to push out seal retainer more.3. Modified the cable gland with a precision blade to create an undercut for the expected cable tension. I unfolded the seal and clamped it with a clip and then cut it in half. Cut the clip on the cable that will help unplug the connector. Lots of mods to make it work should already be part of the design.
