A satisfying mod for your ADV bike.

I use this on my KTM 790 ADV R. I found out about this particular model on the KTM forums. Installation was easy even without the pictogram instructions. The only tool you need is included for free. The mount on my bike was fairly stable and didn't loosen. If you never plan on riding it off-road, you might need a drop of Loctite to calm you down. There is a slight wobble in the speed, but this is due to the minimalist and quickly adaptable hardware design. I've been trying really hard, it won't drop at 100mph (closed course only, you know). I don't find it fragile or cheap considering the excellent price. My stock windshield hit the top half of my helmet in each of its adjustable positions. Placing my hand as an extension of the top of the screen immediately reduces this effect. This deflector is about as tall as my arm and slightly wider than my helmet. Adding it to the top of the screen significantly reduced shake at high speeds. I've experimented with adjustable height and tilt a few times and got the best result by setting it about 15 degrees vertically higher than the main windshield. For off-road or standing riding, no tools are required to lower the extension or fold it completely out of the way. A super economical and more versatile solution than the larger touring screen when you are on a budget or want to quickly adjust or remove a part on the go. Definitely something to consider for your KTM Adventure, Ténére, Africa Twin or similar. A really satisfying solution if you just need a small mod and not a standard screen replacement.
