Review on 24 Pack of Fancy Feast Sliced Chicken Hearts and Liver Feast in Gravy Cat Food, 3 Oz Cans by Carrie Goldberg

I'm experimenting with different cans of cat food to see if I can get my two reluctant cats to eat wet rather than dry. Several different vets have told me that wet cat food is better in terms of digestibility and moisture content (because many cats don't drink as much water as they should). This was one of several Fancy Feasts I've recently purchased. I offered it to a cat and he refused to even look at it. However, this cat has so far refused ANY wet food I've offered her, so I don't mind eating. I gave it to a few more cats to try (one loves all wet food and the other is more picky) and they killed them. They took a little longer than the other foods and one went and came back but they ate it. So 2 out of 3 cats liked it (and number 3 out of 3 is so picky I doubt I can get him to eat anything other than food). Here are the ingredients: Poultry Broth, Chicken, Wheat Gluten, Chicken Hearts, Liver, Offal, Chicken Liver, Turkey, Modified Corn Starch, Soy Meal, Soy Protein Concentrate, Artificial and Natural Flavors, Salt, Calcium Phosphate, Potassium Chloride, Color, Taurine, Choline Chloride, Thiamine Mononitrate, Vitamin E -Supplement, Zinc Sulfate, Ferrous Sulfate, Niacin, Calcium Pantothenate, Vitamin A Supplement, Menadione Sodium Bisulfite Complex (Source of Vitamin K Activity), Copper Sulfate, Manganese Sulfate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Riboflavin Supplement, Vitamin B-12 Supplement, Biotin, Folic Acid, Vitamin D-3 Supplement, Potassium Iodide. I'm not thrilled that wheat gluten is the third ingredient. Cats don't need grain products (like soy). I love that chicken comes before offal on the ingredient list, and there are fewer offal than some other Fancy Feast products. Fancy Feast strains are in fact composite pieces that don't look like real meat or offal; Pieces in gravy/sauce. It would be difficult for cats with dental problems and should not be given to cats with inflammatory bowel disease. In healthy cats, however, it can definitely be included in the rotation.
