I have an old cedar chest that was badly worn and in need of repair. I decided to just take off the lid and hang it on the wall as a decorative element. There were problems mounting it on the wall as the door had wooden braces at the bottom to hold it together, sticking out of the wall. These boots were perfect. The top was very heavy and I was afraid my dog might hit it and it would fall off! Very durable, does not move and is not afraid of falling off the wall. Great solution for attaching regular picture hangers etc.
