Review on 📷 Xit XTDF260N Auto Focus Digital Display by John Snook

Since I always need a flash, I finally decided on one. This one seems affordable but still decent quality. Ordered, package arrived on time, well packaged. When I took out the box with the flash, it smelled very strongly of plastic or something similar. I put the batteries in, turned it on and it blinked once before dying. The side of the flash was very hot and the batteries were so hot they burned the skin. I let the batteries and flash cool down before trying again. I put my finger in the battery compartment and it felt cool. The flash didn't even come on, but the batteries were hot again. I have no idea how it happened but I contacted the seller and he was great. They apologized and said they would send me another one and that I would have to send the defective one back free of charge. In fact, I received the second flash before I sent the first. They made it easy to return and get a new one. I would definitely buy from this seller again. The second flash works MUCH better. It doesn't have that pungent smell, and the batteries and flash stay cold after a few flashes. I haven't used it for more than a few test shots, but I'll keep posting and updating. The case is also very nice and comfortable. I love that it comes with a cover diffuser and battery storage as TTL uses batteries like crazy!
