Review on Valterra S1500 Slunky RV Drainage Hose Support Review: 15 ft, Black by Angel Serafini

I was looking for a good sewer hose bracket from a reputable manufacturer. When I received and unpacked this sewer hose support, imagine my surprise that there are no real loops to allow each individual support to rotate with the next. Instead of hinges, all sections are attached to each other with - for lack of a better description - large metal clips! Yes. that's right, staples. Each staple can be about 1.5 inches long if two staples are used along one edge. This way, as the support block is expanded, the struts will be loosened enough (but tight enough) to allow it to slide out and fold back in. I wasn't happy with this design, although I'm sure it's very economical to manufacture. I returned it and chose another manufacturer that uses the traditional articulating hinge design. I suggest you consider this carefully as well. Too bad. I liked the height, width, depth and material, but I really wanted a better hinge design with a real hinge.
