Nikon F100 - GREAT camera

The Nikon F100 lives up to its reputation. After using DSLRs for about a year, I decided to experiment a bit with film. There were cheaper and lighter options, but the Nikon F100 caught my eye with its well-designed body and pro-level feature set. This camera will surely meet your needs. The Nikon F100 makes a very solid, I would say professional impression. It's heavier than most film cameras and about the same weight as a comparable DSLR. As with all professional cameras, you will not find a flash on the camera. If you want it, you have to buy it for a little more. The F100 has many custom settings and controls (it can be confusing if you're not already familiar with such features). This is not a camera that a total amateur would buy. However, there are (of course) automatic modes. The exposure meter is very accurate and the metering modes are easily accessible. I find it a little annoying having to hold down two buttons to access a function, and some of the buttons on the case aren't in the right place. It requires four (4) double A (AA) batteries, which adds weight to the body, but they are amazingly long-lasting. They say they are enough for 70 rolls of film. The camera works well and the photos turn out great. I just wish the film and processing were cheaper. Ultimately, digital is a lot cheaper and a heck of a lot more convenient; That's why most professionals switched to it a long time ago. Most use film because of the difference in quality, and this difference is debatable. In summary, this is a great film camera that will surely meet your needs.
