I really like the reflective stripe on the back as I often commute to work on dark mornings or evenings during the winter. As I get warm quickly, I usually ride with a raincoat, mountain bike shorts and waterproof shoes. Even though the stretch upper is quite tight, I still get leaks from rain running down my feet, so I carry spare socks with me if it rains hard enough to get them wet. When gaiters are tucked into raincoats, shoes and socks stay very dry. As they are open at the bottom you will get wet if you drive through a big puddle! Yes. Highly recommended.
