I've been riding gel kajanos for about 10 years due to overpronation. Every time I tried to use a different shoe, I would hurt myself in the IT or glute group and go straight back to those. I'm 6ft 6in, 180lbs, less than 3 hour marathon runner so I've put in a lot of miles. I noticed they were in stock so I decided to try them out; Being lighter yet still providing support, it sounded like I ran 7 miles of easy jogging in them with no issues. My next run was 17 miles and although it was on soft ground I started getting pain in my left buttock at mile 13 which lasted a week after I stopped using them. I noticed that the support at impact was very different. I also got a horrible blister on the pinky toe of my left foot, which never happens with my regular Kayanos. Note that it says "Lite" but is less than an ounce lighter than the Kayanos. I held both in each hand and couldn't tell the difference in weight. I think I lost $160 trying this and I'm hoping to recover for my marathon.
