I usually wear a size 8. I bought them an 8.5, black. My brittle toes (ingrown toenails) have enough room in the toe. I can also wear socks with these shoes, which used to be a problem with older casual shoes. I can wear them all day - walking, standing, etc. - and my feet don't feel any pain or discomfort. I can't even feel the shoes on my feet and I'm not exaggerating. I have lymphedema and this shoe takes care of the swelling no matter how bad it is. Plan to buy more in different colors when colors become available. For me a good purchase that I recommend to others.
