I'm getting used to this issue as this is my 3rd set of Presta caps (all from different manufacturers) which for some reason were made with a finer thread pitch than the spec says . for (you can actually see the difference in threads). Has an aftermarket manufacturer figured out what pitch to cut for a Presta valve? Standard plastic Presta LBS, Presta caps from various major bike manufacturers work, but every time I got an aftermarket cap it took me some pliers to put it on (never fully installed but if that's the hassle after the first round, there's some damn stuff). So, put away another set of useless Presta connectors with the wrong thread pitch. PLEASE save your money and only buy plastic stockings.
