I like the concept of checking air pressure and altitude with a mechanical device. One problem I've found is that the barometric pressure instructions say to use an orange index line and not a black arrow. However, when you turn your face to set the reference height, the orange guide line moves, making it impossible to read the pressure accurately without a source to recalibrate. And after a few weeks, it becomes known that the barometric pressure value never changes. Works like an altimeter but not like a barometer.
