This is a nice set of gadgets. What could be simpler and although the instructions are a little lacking - what written instructions really work for a tool that needs to be twisted and turned and you still don't understand the names of the parts? - There is a great video on YouTube. I try to resist the urge to put on all the bobbles and the cat is stunned.

I already had these but after searching the house I gave up and ordered more. Then I found her the day before her arrival, but now I can "play" with a friend. The pom poms have already grown and are very skillful! You can turn them into animals, flowers, cupcakes... the possibilities are endless. There are great pattern books out there and YouTube can help you create a masterpiece. I've bought several different manufacturers over the years, but Clover leads the way.

I took this and the larger sizes and tried both following the very sparse instructions on the back. I couldn't cut the yarn evenly and the pieces wouldn't stay in the machine. When I tried to tie them with twine, the tips got stuck in the tear and didn't stay in place long enough to tie them properly.
