Review on 📐 Isometric Piping Template by Rapidesign, Single Unit (Model R43) by Kelsey Brown

I was looking for a pipe template and it has been the most common template on many job sites that did not have dedicated holes for piping such as faucets. While I'm familiar with isometric drawings, particularly piping diagrams that can be used to model the floor plan of a building, sometimes a simple 2D layout will suffice. The cutouts do not support all the necessary elements in an industrial setting. Obviously the main valves are closed, as are the plumbing, but trying to make pumps is ridiculous. For example, he shows drawings of centrifugal pumps on a stencil, which one might think would be an example of how to make one look like. The problem is that not all the necessary cutouts are present. You can use ovals to create inner/outer isometric circles, but there is no way to draw the engine with a single cutout as shown in the drawing example. It also took me a while to figure out how to use three edges, although this was mainly because isometric drawing paper has lines at 30 degrees (which seems typical of isometric drawings), while the stencil cutouts are at 45 degrees . So trying to use pre-ruled paper to ensure pattern alignment may not help as plain paper may be better. There's also a bunch of clippings that I have no idea if they're being used. Although I have knowledge of industrial mechanics, I'm not a designer by trade, so even a small card that accompanies the template and explains what each element should be helps a lot. In general, while this is useful for specific projects, its limitations lead me to resort to other non-pipelined patterns to get the job done.
