A few years ago, prior to knee surgery, my physical therapist used kinesio tape on my knees. Recently, when one of the surgeries didn't go well and is still bothering me 8 years later, I decided to have my 'affected' knee bandaged to see if that would help with the pain. Not sure which would be the best, I bought three different brands. Everything helps a lot to relieve my artificial joint. Unfortunately, while all brands claimed their product would last a week, I found that only Kinesio Tex lived up to its claims. Although I use the same application method for each brand, this is the only product that sticks to my skin and to itself and doesn't come off when I rub my pants. I have to admit that I put the brace to the test every day as I wear it for aqua aerobics, showers and because of the extreme heat we've experienced this summer (read Sweat like a Pig). One of the brands tends to come off within minutes (from rubbing against clothing) which means I have to change the dressing daily. The other brand, while not rolling as fast, tends to fray around the edges more than others, again causing me to have to replace them after four or five days. Another thing I love about Kinesio Tex is that it's easy to peel off when you want it without tugging or tugging on your skin. Overall a great brand that I highly recommend.
