Review on Philips LED Classic Glass Dimmable Industrial Electrical by Junior Samson

In fact, they don't flicker or buzz at all

Finally, an LED candelabra that works almost perfectly! LED candelabras have a number of problems: They flicker (even when not dimmed) - visible to the naked eye, but also cause problems when trying to film something indoors, which appear as dark scrolling streaks on video. They make buzzing or buzzing noises. You can't darken them too much lest they start flickering like crazy. And they have inferior color rendering compared to "regular" or floor mounted bulbs. The 6w Cree daylight bulbs have been the best so far, about 50% of them buzzed/buzzed and all flickered slightly at low brightness, but could be used in fixtures without using the lowest settings and without selecting bulbs (with people buzzing). without dimming). These Philips lamps are amazing! They don't really flicker and can be dimmed to very low levels (still no flickering or buzzing). There is no sound even when listening with the ear next to 12 lightbulbs. This makes for great "mood lighting" with large chandeliers of 15-30 bulbs. You can look at lightbulbs without hurting your eyes when they're dimmed, and you can turn up the lights when you're working on something that requires a lot of light. Philips claims they have a CRI of 90 and I tried them together (mixed) in the same chandelier with Cree. The lamps were 6W (also CRI 90+) and didn't notice any significant difference in color rendering or the color of the light itself (both 5000K). They still have some high frequency flicker (not visible to the naked eye) that causes dark bands in DSLR video when using a shutter speed of 1/200 or faster, similar to Cree candelabra lamps (but have Cree BR40 downlights not this flickering). ). I've tried Cree, Luxrite, Feit, CRLight, Hizashi, Acidea brands in the past - all either 4w or 6w and daylight color (5000k) and these Philips are the best so far.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
