Mouse lag and poor image update on the external monitor were experienced when using this device. Tried updating drivers, nothing helped. I got the hardware manual for my computer and found that two of my USB ports are USB 2.0 and the rest are 3.0. They were all the same color so it was impossible to tell without a guide. Once I plugged the USB to HDMI adapter into the right port, everything works great. 4K display, no lag. So if you experience lag, make sure you're connecting to a USB 3.0 port, as 2.0 ports don't have the bandwidth to support 4k monitors. This is great value for money at the moment, so I'd recommend it if you're looking to expand your display on the cheap!
