I recently purchased a wonderful Fluance turntable and quickly realized I would need a preamp to use the turntable with my powered speakers. I figured having "active speakers" meant I could use active speakers to power my turntable. Not correct! Wanting to get my new turntable up and running as soon as possible, I quickly looked around for a preamp and decided to order a Fluance preamp. It didn't look like an old style vacuum tube but I thought it would probably be very compatible with my turntable and I was right.
