I use this paper to wrap basic clothes before putting them in shipping boxes. It's not as thick as traditional wrapping paper so it can be mailed or placed in gift bags, but I wouldn't recommend it for gift wrapping. Compared to some other wrapping paper I've used, it's of the highest quality in terms of tear resistance and color brilliance. The colors are vibrant, the paper is high quality (smooth and durable), and the sheets are large enough (19.66" x 29.5") to pack small to medium sized items (shirts and pants). It is slightly heavier (21 GSM) compared to regular tissue paper (17 grams per square meter or GSM). Tissue paper is defined as having a density between 10 and 35gsm, so this tissue paper is not really very thick, but thick enough to be used in simple packaging as it does not tear easily. You can also look at it this way: The thicker the tissue paper, the more "wrinkled" it becomes. In my opinion, if the paper is thicker than 21gsm, it looks more like traditional wrapping paper.
