One star off because the first one I got was physically damaged (maybe because it was shipped in the wrong packaging). So far so good with the replacement. The real issue with these little amps is their durability, so I can't be sure that after a short time they won't last long. Tried using a 12 volt computer power supply I had and 8 ohm speakers. The sound is ok. Good enough for background music. Without blaming the amp, unfortunately 12 volts is not enough for 8 ohm speakers. I'll probably have to buy a 24 volt power supply if I can't find an inexpensive 15 or 16 volt power supply.
