This appears to be a good frying pan but when I received it and put a magnet on it to see if it was in fact nickel free; I've found that the handles and rivets that hold them in place, as well as the metal lining the lid, are non-magnetic. I emailed the company and got a pretty condescending reply. I was told they are nickel free because the handles and lid do not touch food. Obviously the man doesn't cook. The food comes into contact with the rivets in the pot and the food comes into contact with the metal of the lid. This may not be a problem for some people, but if you are severely allergic to nickel it can be a problem.
