I bought this because I got tired of replacing the slider blocks when the little handles on the sliders kept breaking. I was really surprised by the high quality and how well it works. .When I bought it, I didn't know that it also has a feature that you can control it with an app on your phone. My wife loves the remote control feature - she can change the fan speed while still in bed. Two things: the instructions say it won't work on your phone if you're using a 5G wifi connection, it says only 2.4 speed will work. Switch, mine works on both 5G and 2.4 though. It says you need a neutral wire (white wire). My old slider didn't have a neutral wire (only three wires), but there was a neutral wire in the box - it was just closed and not used. I simply connected the white wire from the new switch to the white wire on the plug. I can't imagine there being many homes originally built with a ceiling fan that didn't have a neutral wire in the box, even if no wire was used. Also, it can dim my LED bulbs to very low levels, which my old slide switch didn't do.
