Review on 🎧 Metal & Silicone Headphone Stand Hanger with Cable Holder - Black Desk Earphone Mount Rack for Sennheiser, Sony, Bose, Beats Gaming Headset Display - Fancy Music Studio Accessories - HS102 by Melissa Walker

It's very cute and it won't break the bank.

I usually prefer to store my headphones in hard cases when I'm not using a particular pair, and often work with them by twisting and turning them. I didn't really think about buying a headphone stand until I bought the very latest pair of Sennheiser HD 600's currently on display on the stand. I've now decided to buy it because it's occurred to me that even a spot on my desk probably isn't exactly a safe place to get in the way and spill drinks etc. I figured a headphone stand would instead make sense to use in between listening sessions, constantly packing them in a box and lugging them around again next time. It made sense to me! I looked around for a few days and saw what I thought was a pretty impressive selection, some made out of exotic wood, some metal, some acrylic etc. And I found some that were ridiculously cheap for what seemed an inappropriate investment. I stumbled across this stand here on Revain and was immediately drawn to the price and then the reviews. I thought this stand might be just the thing for my needs so I bought it. In fact, I tried to cancel my order to buy a slightly more expensive stand, but it was already too late. As it turns out, I'm really glad I got this one. I opened the packaging and started slipping the rubber base over the stand and setting it in place and noticed that the rubber tends to pull away from the steel. at the base so I put some strips of double sided tape over that area and then put the rubber tray back in place and the problem was solved. I then removed the strips of tape from the bottom of the top to stick them to the top. It was a bit tricky to push the top rubber mount firmly into place, but not too difficult. In my case, I had to gently pull on the lip on each side to fully engage. My headphones are mostly connected to a small desktop DAC/amp and so the standard cable was too long so I took them. connected via an inexpensive 1.2 meter spare that fits nicely underneath. I think the standard 9ft cable will be difficult to manage. The HD 600's headband sits comfortably on the curved soft rubber top, and I don't see it harming the cushions in the long run. You can use this stand with glasses that have rims up to about 1.5 inches wide before seating firmly in the top slot. Overall, I really like this inexpensive stand!

Pros
  • I'm keeping my fingers crossed
Cons
  • for a long time
