Review on ☔ Totes Signature Clear Bubble Umbrella: Style and Protection for Rainy Days by Katherine Martin

This is a really nice umbrella, but it has a few drawbacks. Like many other reviews, it was covered in white powder inside and out. While it was an inconvenience, I don't understand why people gave it one star just for that. Ten minutes with a face towel left it clean and glassy (you can see I cleaned one half versus the dirty half in one of my photos). I mean, do I expect my umbrellas to arrive clean? Yes, but I rode with punches. However, after cleaning it, I think I understood why it was powder coated in the first place. The thick plastic it's made of sticks together when the umbrella is folded and is very difficult to open again. The powder probably prevented the flaps from sticking together. Also, the small strip that you wrap around the umbrella and squeeze to keep it closed is very difficult to wrap around the entire umbrella as it's made of the same material as the rest of the umbrella and doesn't slide over it. If the company wanted, I'm sure there's a simple fix - just cover the umbrella in some sort of coating (isn't that baby powder?) and make a strip out of a different material, but overall at the price I'm not unhappy. After all, this is a great umbrella that withstands rain and wind well!
