Cons: Need to lug around a USB base when using it with a laptop, plus you may need to get used to turning the mic on and off instead of "push to talk", vibrates randomly (yes, vibrates) and so expensive. Pros: Extremely accurate, all-day battery life, quiet (really important), and works even when the charger/base is in the next room. Also has a night red LED during recording. I spend most of my day documenting with Dragon Medical and when my USB mic broke I decided to make this investment and it's definitely a step forward. For me it was worth the price. What I would like to know: With my old mic that came with the dragon, the dragon would sense the mic's record button was physically pressed and automatically turn the app's mic on and then off - AKA "push to talk" . In my experience, for this microphone to be able to record in Dragon, you must first enable the microphone in the Dragon software (i.e. change the color of the app icon from red to green) and leave it enabled so that it picks up the signal when you use the Press the record button to the voice microphone. You only have to do this once, after opening the Dragon Medical app and downloading your profile, but if you don't you could think your voice mic has failed and miss the opportunity to use that random vibrate, but the less awesome chordless Microphone.
