It's a beast, big but the fastest focusing lens I have, very sharp and very handy. Professional quality means exactly that with a metal hood. The D7000 dx I use it on and the lens weighs exactly 4 pounds so you'll need to flex your muscles, but the sharpness from shots taken with a sizable hold is amazing. There's a more modern version of this lens, but that's the real deal, the quality.
