I didn't smell any of this. I can smell my soap and shampoo so it's not like I don't have a sense of smell or I have a cold or anything. was a trick for her. But never smelled anything. They have a lot of dye/dye in them and I saw a long trail of dye go down the drain but that's about it. I also had a very, very hard time opening them. I tried the first one in the shower and couldn't even open it with my teeth. I had to drip water in the room to get scissors. I forgot when I opened the second one and had to do the same. Then I learned to open them first. It's only now that I came here to write this review that I saw that they include an opener. Thinking I was an idiot for not seeing this I went back and checked the box but didn't get an opener. So they didn't work for me at all.
