Every time I change the oil on my Ram pickup, I always drain the filter when I take it off. You have to turn the filter on its side to remove it, which spills the oil and makes a mess. This simple product is great. Simply unscrew the filter, lower it while holding it straight up, screw the oil plug into the filter and no more spills. Works in reverse order when installing a new filter. Fill the filter about 3/4 full. Screw the plug into the filter. Reinstall it, remove the plug and install a new filter. No more spills.
