Review on SwimZip™ Kids' Little Zippered Sleeve Swimsuit - Boys' Swimwear for Optimal Sun Protection by Tutcht Cobb

fine shirts; need work shorts

While we like the rashguard shirt, we had some issues with the shorts. 1) The drawstring is not inserted into the cross sleeve at the front, so the front panel does not strain when the shorts are tightened. 2) The drawstring is unyielding - once it gets wet it shrinks significantly, tightening the tie to the point where you can't unbuckle your shorts. Very difficult especially with little boys who have to take a break from swimming lessons to use the potty! 3) The sizes are too big which increases the difficulty with ties because I had to pull so hard to get the shorts to fit properly. 4) the blue drawstring pulled over the yellow trousers during the first wash. After the purchase we received an email from Swim Zip asking if we liked the suits (we ordered two, two different sizes for two different sons). I was honest about the shorts (after the first swim lesson in them we had to order different brands for both boys for fear I would have to cut the laces to get them out of the suits) and the company offered to lace them through them replace new ones coming soon time; They think they solved the problem. We are very happy with their customer service and can't wait to try the new trunks! The shirts are wonderful. It's so nice not to feel like I'm ripping off their ears just to take their shirt off! My 3 year old cried after every swim lesson - not anymore!

Pros
  • EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE - We want your children to feel good! We chose a very comfortable fabric, added a zippered pocket to avoid chafing your chin and a zippered back flap to keep the zipper from chafing your baby's tummy, and removed the neck label.
Cons
  • Some minor issues
