I bought this model because I found about 30 disks with photos taken with my Sony Mavica digital camera in 1999-2000. I was disappointed because I didn't think I could recover the photos. Just in case, I looked for a USB floppy drive (I had no idea they make something like that). And boom! That works great. I just plugged it into my laptop's USB port and my photos were there. I was able to download them all onto my laptop. This works great and I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs to extract old files from a floppy disk.
