Review on π§ Helicoil 5521-7 Thread Repair Kit: Restoring Coarse 7/16-14 Inch Threads with Precision by Dexter Rasberry
It is NOT a 7/16-14 final thread size when finished.
This is not a 7/16-14 fine thread size. My existing 7/16-14 cap screw for attaching the thermostat housing to the intake manifold on a Chevy V-8 is 7/16-14. And hits right in the spiral coil. Doesn't grab or hold. Attention buyers. I stripped the threads on the original factory tapped hole so it's my fault, but now with this coiled insert that isn't a 7/16-14 thread I have to replace the manifold for 200+. plus my time
