Sturdy tubular metal construction but difficult to install. Way better than all those flimsy single-frame sliders that other people pack on their bikes, in my opinion. I've dropped bikes before and in my experience you need multiple contact points and lots of ground to displace the impact. So it's perfect and there are some videos on youtube to help you remove the disguises that will point you in the right direction. Although I was able to install the safety rails, they don't align well so you'll have to reattach them (meaning some of the screws are slightly bent or the rails themselves are forced into place). All in all everything works, since the installation I have driven 200 km without any problems.
