The negative points made about this (and other Dell monitors) may be valid, but my experience with some of them shows that it works well for most normal purposes. Where it really excels is in the fact that it breaks down. I had a death, called and spoke to a proper non-US tech support who eventually found he was dead. It was 3 p.m. The next morning at 11:00 a.m. there was a new one on my doorstep. In the box was a prepaid PO box for a bad return. The total cost is zero for me. In comparison my Hannsg monitor failed, they took 10 days to give me an RMA number, I had to pay to ship it to California and another 2 weeks to get a response. I know LCD monitors rarely fail, but I've had two failures recently (in different locations and yes, with surge protectors) and Dell was by far the clear winner in the repair department.
