The 'mirror silver' coating on the outside of the visor turns it into a 'mesh' when you try to remove the visor, rendering the visor almost unusable. The mirror also reflects objects behind you that could be confused with something approaching you. I have since used a mild ivory soap and water solution to remove the mirror coating from the outside of the shield. While I didn't want or need another transparent shield, this seemed like the best option available.
