Now I am very happy with this monitor. Although I can't run it in full resolution due to my old nvidia GT3. Even at 2560x1080 the picture looks great. When running a monitor at a lower resolution than its native resolution, it usually looks very grainy. While this one isn't as sharp as full resolution, it doesn't look quite as grainy. My big problem when I first plugged it in was that my mouse was twitching a lot. I've looked everywhere for help and solutions and haven't found any. Everyone said it was the mouse driver and I knew that wasn't true because when I lowered the resolution to 1280x1024 the mouse worked fine. However, lowering the resolution to a lower widescreen resolution didn't help. So I spent some time playing around with all the different settings apps and found that NVIDIA treats this as a TV by default. The refresh rate value was 24Hz! No wonder my mouse was so choppy. So I switched from TV to monitor mode and the refresh rate jumped to 30Hz at 3440 x 1440, which was better but still choppy. So I switched to 2560x1080 and increased the refresh rate to 60Hz. And now my mouse is perfect again. So I think I need to buy a new computer to get full use of this monitor. But Dell, NVIDIA, Microsoft or anyone else should change this monitor profile to the default monitor mode. No TV mode.
