Review on 🐒 Fluker's Food & Water Reptile Corner Bowl: The Ultimate Habitat Necessity for Reptile Health by Anthony Lowery

Not easy to sanitize as described

I wanted something to hang in the corner of my reptile cages (2). On a positive note, it's deep enough to accommodate each of my animals (a very young blue-tongued Halmahera skink and an Australian green tree frog), but low enough for them to drink, climb in, or get out when they need to to. . The first thing that struck me when they arrived was how they felt. Soft. I was expecting it to be hard plastic or cast resin or something that looks like stone. I don't know what they are made of but they feel very soft. I picked one up and found that I could scratch the material with my fingernail and peel the material off. I don't know how that affects the quality in the long run. It doesn't bother me too much, but I think it's important to note that you can scrape something off of it. The images show a rockier gray. I get dishes that are browner. More importantly, I have to state that I don't think they can be disinfected. Whatever material they are cast from, it is not non-porous. Maybe it is if it doesn't have air bubbles, but mine arrived with small tiny holes where there were pockets of air bubbles. They are ALL END. Which to me means you will never 100% get into those nooks and crannies, to ensure you get out any leftover food or litter, turn/wash any cleaning supplies or sanitizers fully. Since I will only use it for water, I will probably continue to use it in the short term. However, if you're looking for something that can be fully sanitized or used as food, this dish probably isn't for you.
