I bought a DVR on a better day and bought this one too. Without that, I would have to turn on the camera every time I got in the car. At the same time, I just start the car and my camera turns on immediately. Also, I don't have another cable going from the outlet to different places in the car. With phone chargers, iPad chargers, GPS power cords and the like, cod seems to be everywhere these days. This lamp helped me get rid of at least one. It comes with 3 different sized fuse adapters to fit any car. In fact, installation turned out to be a lot easier than I thought. It protects the card's battery by turning off the camera when the battery runs low. I love that it will continue to record to this point as I hit 3 different cars while unattended and parked in a parking lot. Pros: Comes with 3 different fuse adapters.
