Review on SunSun HW-704B 525 GPH 5-Stage External Canister Filter with 9W UV Sterilizer: Superior Sun Filtration Solution by Kim Tyger

After comparing canister filters for a month or more, I settled on the SunSun 704B. I have used Marineland in general and have been happy with their products. I decided to go $50 off with SunSun. I'll say the instructions aren't the best, but if you take your time and use your common sense you'll get through this. The design is pretty standard for canister filters. I was surprised at how much media this filter can hold. I ordered extra thread and pads (which I don't need), there are a lot of them included with the filter. At 525 GPH I'm not sure but it definitely moves a lot of water. The filter is plastic like all bowls but appears to be quite durable and should last a few years. The trays can only be aligned in one direction as the top fits and the UV light slots need to be aligned. That makes it a little easier to remember every time. I can't think of any major issues with the filter and would definitely recommend trying it out. The price is great (a few dollars cheaper actually) than buying it. Delivery is fast, installation is not bad.
