I put the rings in the pan. Pour in beaten eggs. They flowed out from under the rings and I got the largest base for an omelette. The frying pan was a flat square frying pan. There's no reason the rings couldn't contain eggs. It covered the entire bottom of the pot. So I removed the rings, added garlic, mushrooms, onions, sausage crumbles and cut the egg omelet into skillet sized squares. Throw away the rings. Haven't used them since then.
