This is the second juicer I've owned and for the price it's not a bad juicer at all. It was ok the first time, but I noticed that the pulp got stuck at the top of the chute instead of falling into the bag-lined container. The bag may have got in the way as I used the "light clean" method instead of letting the pulp fly into the pulp container without the bag as intended. My son advised me to forgo the pomace funnel altogether and just tie a plastic bag around the chute. I tried it and the pulp is still stuck in the lid. I ended up using the pulp container that comes with the juicer and found that the pulp still collects in the pulp container lid, especially when juicing peaches and other juicier fruits. You have to remove the lid and scrape out the accumulated pulp or it will fall back and end up in your juice. I pressed enough fruits and veggies to make about 36 ounces. juice, and the lid was almost completely filled with pulp. As I squeezed more juice, the pulp began to slide down the juice spout. Also, I've noticed that this juicer doesn't leave large chunks of veggies and fruit like my old one did, but that might be because I don't push the plunger down like I used to. I ran the juicer at its own pace as other reviewers recommend and found that more juice was produced this way. For the price this product is not bad and it is easier to clean than some other brands. Despite the less efficient pulp distribution, the wide feed tube is a big plus. Who knows, maybe because of the wide tube the pulp collects in the lid? To me it's a fair exchange if that's the case. My old juicer had a narrow chute and I only had to serve one piece of apple or carrot at a time. It took forever to drink a glass of juice.
