Best to hold onto parts
This is my 2nd filter. I paid a little more for a good filter when I switched to synthetic that will last 15,000 miles. I changed the filter less than 10,000 miles because I need to add a liter or two, so I do a complete oil and filter change the same way. I touched the oil filter on the outside of the plastic bag. He was still pretty solid. No defects or distortions were found. Compared to other filters, it claims to be non-paper. More smaller V-grooves offer more filter area and feel stronger.
